CHRISTMAS ISLAND
On Christmas Island, I
landed in an airport smaller than the school hall
held a crab
shooed a crab off the road and out of the bus's way.
skipped stones
climbed onto a wavecut platform
stood on the base of a waterfall
saw caves, notches, stacks, and stumps in real life
had to check the sea water to be water and not blue food colouring
got as close as 5cm away from a thrush
caught a ladybug
plucked off leaves from plants and ate them as if they were chips
had phosphate in my hair
squished out ribbons of soil with bare hands
navigate our way through a forest with no marked routes
saw a natural spring
walked among corals
swam among corals
swam with fishes
had a non-canteen type of bird fly right above my head
had a crab crawl under my legs for shade
for the first time in my life.
I saw the most number of
playgrounds per square km
pinacle rocks
spiders in 1 square metre
giant clams in one area
and also the least number of cars on an island
In a week, I
had more than 1 picnic lunches
had more than 1 BBQ dinner
trekked so much in the forest.
And not to forget, the most beautiful of nature, I saw
the most beautiful sunset
the most beautiful night sky
the most beautiful beach
the most beautiful sea
and the most beautiful fishes.

FREE AT LAST. for now.
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO slacked for the entire of yesterday and friday afternoon and this morning!!! its good to feel free for a while. enjoy the freedom while it lasts.
after orals on friday me and yuqing went down the spiral staircase shouting "FREE AT LAST, FREE AT LAST, THANK GOD ALMIGHTY WE ARE FREE AT LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAST!!!!" hahaha thank martin luther king for this line xD we went quite high and i was even higher cos i got to go home when yuqing has cca HAHA xD then i went home with jazzy =]
when i got home i bathe really quickly and straight away watch Fated To Love You! haha thanks niqian for lending me the cd =D (mr tan still doesnt know we dont have school on tues, so cant carry out our lesson =/) and i watched and watched, break for piano lesson, and then eat dinner, and come back and watch some more. watch until 11.30pm and then went to sleep.
next morning woke up at 6am, for no reason, and just couldnt go back to sleep. lie there and waste my time until 7am, cos it seems like a more appropriate time to wake up xD and then i eat and watch fated to love you again xDDDD watch until 11.30 and eat and go training.
training was terrible cos i was so tired. but then im jumping higher for half turn back already! =D hope it lasts =] but i lost my front pike and kept screwing backsomer. but hahaha we prepared presents for the coaches and my tramp batch disappeared for a while during training to prepare the present =D we went down to the toilet with the vanguard sheet and markers and the notes everyone there wrote for the coaches. stuck them on the vanguard and drew stuff around it. (people who dint come and hence dint write, you can always write next time and stick onto the sides or something =D its a combined present from everyone =]) and then we sneaked back upstairs again xD and then after backsomer we gave teo his teachers' day present, consisting of deloba biscuits and a tub of 1kg honey. dont ask why give honey, etinne's reason was that its to wish him many golden years ahead, and i think its just healthy xD and haha it'll be weird to dip the biscuits into the honey cos the biscuits are already sweet enough xDD
before training ended we called everyone together and shouted "jiao shi jie kuai le!!" and presented the coaches the happy teachers' day vanguard sheet. and teo stuck it on the notice board =D (haha shirlyn says the card is nicer than the one the seniors gave him last year xDDD sorry seniors xD) but well, everyone contributed to the card, so duh its nicer xD
haha then i went to my cousins house and since i forgot to bring the fated to love you cds, i went online to watch x.x watch until the internet connection broke and then i went home xD
this morning i woke up at 7am and ate and watch again xD finally finished watching xD HAHA yes, the ending was damn lame xD
so um, i think i have slacked enough and should start work. bye =]

i realised that it was difficult to vote for someone from the same batch as you, when all of you have the opportunity to be the one. it was much easier to vote for someone from a different batch, whether its a senior or a junior. but now, being sec 3 and next year's leaders, you have to vote for someone among you.
i guess that shows how much we love our batchmates. we'll be together for the longest, spending a full four years together. its tough to make a decision to choose only a few of us.
at least, its over now.

sometimes i have suicidal thoughts. although i know that they arent sensible, sometimes is nice to wonder whether i will feel better and free-er when im dead. but of course i dont try to commit suicide. not that im scared of death, but scared that i'll regret. like in my dying moments i suddenly see the light and realise that there are alot of important things in life and i shouldnt let go just like that. and should have done something good in my life.
but the problem is that i dont see the light now, and i have no idea what am i bound for, and life is just meaningless full of pts that doesnt really contribute to my future.

second last day of hols.
so fast, the hols are going to be over. and there is no more hope of extension of hols. but in any case, school is starting and we are supposed to face it, and get used to the work load coming up.
i havent done my ss pt speech and havent started on chi pt and i dont understand bio pt and i am currently ignoring geog pt.
also, im ignoring the fact that i dont understand math.
and sigh i got to practise piano more. and somehow stufy for chinese. and oh yes i have fps ><
ok i guess i have to blame myself for the undone work. procrastination should be made a crime. and i think it should be made the 8th sin.
depression is inevitable.
and i better make it a goal to connect the b div routine by a certain deadline.

TREKKING <3
ZOMG TODAY WENT TREKKING WITH SERI at the southern ridges. it was super fun!!! went on like adventure around singapore.
first we went to toa payoh interchange, and we immediately got lost there cos we dont know where to go. so seri called her friend and we took 145 to vivo city. then we got lost somemore and finally crossed the road to take the trail. the starting trail is called marang trail.
got alot of stairs, and up and up we went, and we were out of breath, and then at the top we stopped and tried to look into the binoculars there and spy on the ppl on the cable cars xD but i dint see anyone, while seri said she see ppl sitting inside. and then, what else can they do besides sitting la xD
and then we rested for a while and continued walking. then we reached the jewel box!! we were like OMG CABLE CARS!!!! LETS GO SEE!! and we went in and look and took pictures with this lego made cable car on display xDD and then we asked for the price of the ride, and like WOAH 18++ bucks. and NOO. LETS GO. and we went into the souvenir shop and the person was telling us the keychains cost 3 for 50 bucks. O.O
and then we continued walking. and reached henderson waves!! and we took lots of retarded photoes with the sign. and super funny xDD i'll upload sometime when im in the mood to transfer the photos over to the com xD and then took emo shots on the bridge xD like jumping off, etc.
afer the handerson waves we went to another trail that is like made of metal. like slope. it was going down slope. and then we walk walk walk and then reach some forest trail. and then continue walking and taking pictures and then we reach the nice part of the forest trail. some terrace garden. was quite cool =D seri say its a nice place for wedding but its kind of hot too xD
and then reached the alexandra bridge or something. and then we continued walking and reached hortpark. which was really hot (pun intended). and then we saw a room at the hort centre that looks like got aircon inside, and we went in and the air con was off.. only got fan -.- and so we came out and continued. and then we saw this sign that says DO NOT STEP BEYOND THIS LINE. and we went beyond the line xDDD haha and then we continued on our quest.
and the last bit was canopy walk. which dint have much canopy and it was hot. and then we REACHED THE END!!! but we kind of have to get out of the ulu-ness. then we walk walk and found our way to nus. and we were like WHEE BACK TO CIVILISATION. and then i said QUEST COMPLETED. 100 gold gained, and 100000 experience points gained xD
and then we walked towards the bus stop. and i was really looking forward to air con and seats and no need to walk anymore. when seri looked closer and said 'eh what day is today?' and i said 'sunday, why?' and she said 'there is no bus on sunday! look!' and she points at the part about sunday operating hours. and THERE ARE NO OPERATING BUSES!!! OOHHH NOOOO.
poof goes my thoughts about air con and sitting down to buona vista.
and then a million thoughts went through my mind. i have a few options. i can sit at the deserted bus stop and sulk and leave seri to her own devices. i can start ranting and deafen seri and scare passers-by. or i can walk with seri to the main road.
obviously the third one is the sensible option. we walked all the way to the main road and cheered when we saw a bus stop with another bus. we waited for super long for the bus, while we sang songs to cheer ourselves up. then took the bus and mrt at buona vista and went home.
isnt it a very educational journey to the southern ridges? learning journeys should be like this!! =D

holidays!
yay holiday was one day early. WHOOPEEE.
but i wasted the whole of this morning; the extra day of holiday; the reason to be happy and unstressed for once.
i woke up and decided i should eat breakfast and read yi tian tu long ji. and then i couldnt stop really. read for chapters at one go. then decided to play piano cos my eyes hurt. played for a while, and decided to go eat ba zhang. and continued reading. then finally decided to do some work. so i filed in my bio stuff, since everything else is filed in last night. and then now im using to com. emailed chong the dates im not going for training, and emailed ms choo my pt writeup. and i remember im supposed to email someone else but i cant remember who.
so it was a waste of one good morning plus a bit of the afternoon with no work done.
i have no idea how to start on physics pt. help. its due on 5 june but im flying off on 4 june morning.
usually the most difficult part of doing anything is starting it.

and open house was quite awesome even though i was only there for one and a half hours xP

mugger days
great. 3 mugger days. and then english and chinese sa. then physics sa. then 2.4. then geog sa. then mugger weekend again and malay sa. then fps practice due. then physics pt due. then start on ss and chinese pt.
is that what our lives are about? when its not exams, its pts, when its not pts, its GAs. when its not GAs, its mugger time and homework time. we have totally no life.
anyway, why is it that i try so hard, and not getting any results from it? is it that i have not tried enough, or is it the wrong approach? but there is nothing i can do to amend it; im being swept off again into the tide of life and constantly moving on..
and why is it that when i try so hard, and not to receive commendation but condemnation? ppl dont see the effort that i put in, you think im just free, doing it for fun and not doing it well. you dont know that i put in my best efforts at it.
work for reward, reward for work. right. i dont get any rewards for my hard work.

gummy bears story
Jennifer and i came up with a lame story:
In the gummy bears empire, there are thousands and millions of gummy bears. They eat strawberry kisses as a staple, drink gummy coke, slept on gummy pizzas, and used gummy hamburgers and pillows. then they got packages, and are being grouped into tiny packets which is their villagers, and they went on sale (sail).
Then, one day, a few packets of gummy bear arrived in our school. then a little girl went to buy a packet of gummy bears. as the gummy bears in the packet were enjoying the sunshine and the city noises that are somehow separated from their peaceful village, suddenly, the ground shook. the little girl picked the packet up and paid the stall owner. in the gummy bears village, the bears banged into each other as the earthquake continued. chaos reigns (rains). then, the little girl put the packet into her pocket. the bears felt that the ground had started rocking, and thought it was the after shocks as the little girl walked back to class. the skies turned dark (as the tiny transparent circle on the packet has been denied access to light as it is covered by the pockets of the girl's pinafore.).
the little girl went to philo class. the gummy bears heard the teacher's voice and thought they had done something wrong to end up in a dark place with a voice talking about morals and ethics (or something along those lines).
then the little girl went to the foyer and up the bus to go for cca. then she took the packet of gummy bears out and opened the packet. the bears saw their skies being ripped open and thought that they see the light and are going to heaven. but little did they know that they are about to be eaten. then, they see huge fingers coming out of the sky and pinched them. and then they die.
wasnt that interesting? xD

bleah
today is a super lousy day and i shall not elaborate why. or i'll sound like some emo kid wallowing in self pity. which is what i am.
anyway, i shall continue with some funny stuff that happened yesterday during geog. cos ms foo wasnt in school, so we had this assignment to take pictures of all the weathered rockes in school. which there are hardly any. and this was how some of our funny discoveries went.
"oh look! this rock looks red! maybe its oxidation!! take picture!" "erm, its a brick."
"These rocks are so round! i think its spheriodal weathering!" "um, these round stones were bought from a store."
"block disintegration! look, the rocks look like they've been split apart." "i think these rocks were placed here in this position..."
"biological weathering!!! see, the roots seem to cut the rocks." "erm, if you havent realised, its soil, not rocks.."
"spheriodal weathering!!!!" "its rounded cos it was built like that!!!"
"spheriodal weathering!!!!!!!!!" "that thing is square lah!!"
haha and seeyoon claimed that this thing was exfoliation when it just looked like the paint was flaking off xD
ridiculous. but it was fun xD then me and chenyin and huijie cam whored when we went back to class.

UFO alert
Today's pe was extremely fun. although it started off being really hot and sad, and we had to run 4 rounds around the track, which is close to torture. so we set off, and me and shuwen and shin huoy and claudiaC ran at a constant speed. then we noticed that dark clouds were approaching and i did a one second rain dance in hope to speed up the clouds. then we saw this aeroplane fly past and we were like 'ooh its an aeroplane!!!' ok that was retarded, but still, you need whatever there is to distract yourself when you are running and know you dont have enough stamina.
then we had warmups. and after warm ups chris threw a handful of track rubber at me and yelled 'confetti!' and i said 'are you trying to con me?' and she said 'no i was trying to fatty (fetti) you.' xD
then we did batting with the t-stands. shin huoy and i were guessing why is it called the t stands, and suggestions were that if you invert it and look at it from the side, it looks like a t. and another idea is that we can kick it so its the ti('kick' in chinese)-stand xD
then the sky turned dark. and we were batting while holding the bats upside down cos it was easier xD and we looked pretty retarded. and then suddenly i looked up and saw two things fluttering down to earth. and i shouted 'is it a bird? is it a plane?' and me and shin huoy shouted 'no its paper!' and then we were all shouting and pointing at it and wondering if it would land in school. then one piece fluttered out of side and the other fluttered all the way across the field, getting nearer every second. and then before it flew over the fences of school, we realise its a piece of newspaper xD then we deduced that the ppl in the aeroplane were reading it and it fell out xD
then suddenly there was thunder and lightning. and then i said my rain dance worked and i did 2 more seconds of it xD then suddenly there was this alarm sounding and maria asked if it was the thunder alarm, and then smrithi said 'no its the lightning alert!!' and haha and then i saw this blinking light at the side of the pe dept building, and then i realise its the lightning alert xD and then i noticed this light coming from a truck outside school and thought it was the lightning alert too xD then we were shouting that the fluttering newspaper set off the alarm and its the ufo alert xD then our relief pe teacher said that we all have to go indoors, and we are released to recess early. hooray xD and then there is this cold storage plastic bag that came fluttering onto the field and it came from the sky.
hence it was a weird day with weird pe and 3 things came fluttering down from the sky.

Happy Birthday Minyee!!
Happy Birthday Minyee!!! You're officially 15 today, which makes you as old as me HAHA xD hope you enjoy your day as much as i enjoyed mine =]
And i want to thank all those who have wished me a happy birthday yesterday in terms of smses, tags on my blog, or wishing me a happy birthday when you saw me selling bubble tea on ora!
when i woke up, i switched on my phone and was immediately bombarded with happy birthday messages. and it made me feel really happy and loved, thank you!! ( and thank you shirlyn, who sent me a message on 18 march and 18 april xDD)
and then i got to ora. and i met simone and sarah at the carpark. and thanks simone for getting up early to bake me the cookies!! they were really yummy. and she gave me balloons too. sadly the balloons all bursted before the end of ora and i cant find them anywhere =/
then we followed the noise in to find the canteen. and then simone and i found the our booth. then we did our sign impromptu and then sat around waiting for the bubble tea to come. and then me and small kelly tried to sell 100 plus since the bubble tea havent come yet. and the box we used started to break and we looked rather pathetic. then sarah found a customer for us and yay we got our first customer and we were jumping up and down in joy xD and then then bubble tea came when all the ppl already come back from the walk a jog. and then marcus and jordan came when i dropped a cup bubble tea in front of the stall. oops sorry xP but anyway thanks for supporting us!
then afterwards was just walking around and persuading ppl to buy bubble tea. and i dropped another cup bubble tea and this time it broke. had to pay for it xD then i just walked and help collect money and stuff. and then lalala and walking here and there. then i saw more TI ppl. and then more of selling bubble tea. then we were so desperately trying to sell we changed from i bubble tea $2, one 100plus $1, to buy two bubble tea get one 100plus free and then one bubble tea and 100plus $2.50 xD
clarissa conned me to buying a muffin from her. and yu qing gave me a rose. i think she was forced to buy one and then gave it to me to get rid of it xD and then iliana gave me a spongebob xD and zann gave me the twisty tangle thing xD jazzy says its cool and wants it for her birthday =D
then the second batch of bubble tea came and some of us went up to get it. and then while waiting me and charlene and gillian played the scissors paper stone split version. it was so fun and the ppl in the cars stared at us xD then the bubble tea came and me and egoh carried it down to the canteen. and guess what now i have muscle ache because of that -.-
and then somewhere in the afternoon rachel came and kidnap me from ashley and dawn and siyan and dragged me to the stage there. and then they were taking so long and goodness knows doing what. then when the song was over they asked the ppl to dedicate the next song to me. it was damn embarassing but really sweet, thanks so much ppl! and then huiqun took out this brownie cake that she and huey fang baked in the morning. THANKS SO MUCH FOR TAKING THE EFFORT TO BAKE IT!!! it was really good and im sure it added some fats into me but i really cant care cos it was too good xD and sadly alot of ppl dont dare to eat when they heard huiqun played a part in making it xDDD and huiqun gave me more presents! including a stuffed felt cane cos im lame and needed help walking xD and my favourite m&m pop-able tube! xD and then marcus and whoever whos supposed to share with him gave me a present which i dint open until i was in the mrt. thanks so much the teddy bear is really cute =]
then i saw seri!!! she happened to be in rj so she came down and find me. yayay thanks for coming down =]
and then afterwards was just randoming and trying to sell the 100plus. and the jiayi and eeloon tagged along. then i saw terry and i wanted to laugh. dunno why but i just wanted to laugh when i saw him. and he refused to buy a 100plus from me -.-
then me and ashley and egoh cam whored at the waterfall place. we over split at the steps and asked ppl help us take picture xD and then we went back and everyone took pictures with the signs. then emily and steph finished counting the money and we made $571.10!!! whoooo!!! thank you all who have supported us =]
i think the best present i got yesterday wasnt the cake, the cookies, or the teddy bear, but the good fortune of having friends to celebrate your birthday with and for you to rely on. and like what me and huiqun joked about yesterday, the best present is a good friend. and since i have so many good friends who made me feel loved and appreciated yesterday, it was the best present. thank you all for making my 15th birthday so memorable and wonderful =]
